Meet the Chief Puppy Officer

Agent Bean (a.k.a. Nim)

Born on September 11, 2016, this Pekingese-mix is my absolute world. While her legal name is kept classified for security reasons, you know her as Nim, or Agent Bean.

She is a study in contrasts: sweet and gentle, yet fiercely feisty when the situation calls for it. She is an ice cream connoisseur, a professional booty-shaker, and a world-class bed hog who requires at least 99% of the mattress to sleep comfortably.

Affectionately known as Bean, Beany, or Binera, she’s not just a sidekick; she’s my soulmate. And if anyone is wondering? She is protected by a dedicated legion of ‘John Wicks’ ready to go to the ends of the earth for her.

Meet Raquel

I’m Raquel (pronounced “Ruh-Kel”). People claim I’m in my 30s; I say they’re just jealous of my eternal teenage spirit (okay, I’ll drop the millennial humor now).

I’ve been building fantasy worlds since I was five or six. A result of either a hidden talent, destiny, or just undiagnosed mental chaos. By 14, I was “officially” a writer, spending my teenage years dissecting Tolkien’s syntax like a nerd. This led me to pursue a career as an author, which tragically dumped me into the “glamorous” world of Publishing in my 20s. Spoiler alert: the experience was so transformative that it sent me to therapy and forced an early retirement months before turning 30. (Fun, right?)

The Pivot

At 30, I had a realization: I didn’t want to be a publishing professional. I just wanted to be an author, and… a detective? I love writing, but I love sticking my nose into other people’s business even more. Tired of the lies, the tricksters, and the fancy speeches designed to gaslight people, I decided to do something about it.

Beyond the Files

Enter The Yellowsocks Files. I’m channelling my inner investigative journalist to build cases on topics that matter. No manipulation, no agendas. Just evidence, so you can make up your own mind.

But life isn’t just about deep-dive investigations. On my main channel, I also share vlogs, gaming sessions, cooking experiments, and the everyday chaos of my routine, usually under the strict supervision of my Chief Puppy Officer, Nim (a.k.a. Agent Bean).

The Professional Stuff (TL;DR)

In case you’re wondering if I’m qualified for all this “investigating”:

  • Background: Bachelor’s in Applied Languages & a postgraduate degree in Business Management.
  • Experience: 6+ years in the publishing industry, including running my own indie publisher and translating books.
  • Skills: Formal media training and fluency in 3 languages (I dare to say, almost fluently!).

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s make some sense of this world together.
